Hier sind wichtige Details dazu:
Gemeinsam mit der Informatikfakultät ISIMA unserer Partnerhochschule Université Clermont-Auvergne (UCA) werden wir im SoSe 2026 die vierte Auflage unseres „Collaborative International Learning“ (CIL, Mini-Summer-School) durchführen. Geplant ist ein gemeinsames FWPM-Fach „Applied Optimization“ (5 ECTS, Unterrichtssprache Englisch).
- Ca. 50 % des Kurses finden voraussichtlich als Blockveranstaltung vom 7.–17.04. an der OTH Regensburg statt.
- Die übrigen ca. 50 % als Blockveranstaltung in Präsenz vom 17.–28.08. an der UCA in Clermont-Ferrand.
Das Fach wird Ihnen als FWPM 1/2/3 anerkannt, Sie erhalten also Credits und Noten.
Der Kurs ist auf max. 40 Teilnehmende begrenzt (ca. 20 UCA- und 20 OTH-Studierende). Die beiden Gruppen besuchen sich gegenseitig in Regensburg bzw. Clermont-Ferrand. Sie lernen Studierende der Partnerhochschule kennen und verbringen eine kurze Zeit im Ausland, um die andere Hochschule und Stadt näher kennenzulernen. Zusätzlich wird in Frankreich einen Block-Französischkurs mit 2 ECTS belegt, der an der OTH als AWPM anerkannt werden kann.
Die bisherigen OTH-Teilnehmenden haben das Format in den vergangenen Jahren sehr positiv bewertet.
Die Reisekosten nach Frankreich werden voraussichtlich mit bis zu 450 EUR pro Person aus Studienzuschüssen bzw. ggf. durch eine Förderung des DFJW unterstützt.
Aus unserer Sicht bietet das Format für Sie mehrere Vorteile: „internationale Erfahrung light“, Blockkurs und damit Entzerrung des Semesters, finanzielle Unterstützung sowie die Möglichkeit, einmal etwas Neues auszuprobieren.
Wenn Sie teilnehmen möchten, ist wichtig zu wissen: Sie müssen sich verbindlich bis Mitte Dezember für das CIL anmelden, da wir Sie als Austauschstudierende nach Frankreich melden müssen.

For those of you who are interested but unfortunately had to miss this event for various reasons, we have good news: we would like to invite you to the next Info Session on the same topic next week on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 6 p.m.!
Here are some important key points and information about the course:
Together with the computer science faculty ISIMA at our partner university Université Clermont Auvergne (UCA), we plan to run the fourth edition of our Collaborative International Learning (CIL, mini summer school) in summer semester 2026. We intend to offer a joint elective module “Applied Optimization” (5 ECTS, taught in English).
- Around 50% of the course will take place as a block course at OTH Regensburg from 7–17 April 2026.
- The remaining 50% will be taught as an in-person block course at UCA in Clermont-Ferrand from 17–28 August 2026.
The course will count as a FWPM 1/2/3, i.e. you will receive credits and a grade.
The course is limited to a maximum of 40 students (around 20 from UCA and 20 from OTH). The two student groups will visit each other in Regensburg and Clermont-Ferrand. You will get to know students from the partner university and spend a short period abroad to experience the other institution and city. In addition, ythere will be an intensive French language block course (2 ECTS) in France, which can be recognized as an AWPM at OTH.
Former OTH participants have given very positive feedback on this format in previous years.
Travel costs to France are expected to be supported with up to 450 EUR per person from student fees and possibly through DFJW funding.
From our perspective, the format offers several benefits: “light” international experience, a block course that helps to de-stress the semester, financial support, and the chance to try something new.
If you wish to participate, please note: You will need to register bindingly by mid-December, because we must nominate you as exchange students to France.
